Day 2 |
La Paz City Tour (Half Day) |
|
At 9:00 or at 14:00 we will pick you up from your hotel to start the city tour. Visit the main square Murillo, in its surroundings there are: the Presidential Palace, the Congress and the Cathedral, after continue to visit Jaen Street, the best well preserved colonial street where local museum are visited. Later, visit the witches’ market, where still remains the ancient beliefs and traditions of Bolivians, you will find traditional remedies and witchcrafts to offer to “Pachamama” (Mother Earth). Next stop is the Cable Car, have ride and enjoy the amazing views of the city. To finish the tour, visit the spectacular Moon Valley features unusual clay and rock formations. Day 3 |
Lake Titicaca, Copacabana and Sun Island (2 Days / 1 Night) |
|
Pickup from the hotel to drive through a paved road to Copacabana peninsula, located 151 km from the city of La Paz, the trip is approximately 3 and a half hours, the road will border Lake Titicaca with an impressive view of the Cordillera Real, arrival and accommodation at the hotel. After lunch tour to Sun Island, crossing the lake for approximately an hour to get to Yumani village, where you visit the archaeological site of “Pilkokaina” an Inca Temple, then a short walk up the Yumani stairs until reaching three springs, it is believed that this fountain is the fountain of eternal youth. After the visit return to the town of Copacabana and enjoy and unforgettable sunset. Day 4 |
Lake Titicaca, Copacabana and Sun Island (2 Days / 1 Night) |

After breakfast, guided visit to the village of Copacabana. Visit the church where the brown Madonna is exhibited, continues the local market of Copacabana and then optionally you might ascend to the Calvary, a holy place where we will appreciate the syncretism of native culture because it is a catholic and indigenous place at the same time. At midday enjoy a lunch. Later, return to La Paz city and accommodation at the hotel. Day 6 |
Sucre City Tour (Half Day) |
|
pick you up from the hotel to start the tour to Bolivia’s capital. Visit the Main Square May 25th, where the Historical Museum of Freedom is located, important place where the Bolivian independence act was signed; in the main square is also the Metropolitan Cathedral. Continue visiting the Treasure Museum, which shows the origins, techniques, and art of Bolivian metals and precious stones, continue the visit with the ASUR Textile Museum, or Museum of Indigenous Art that exhibits a great variety of textiles from indigenous cultures. After, “La Recoleta” and its church are visited, but the main attraction is the lookout that show a panoramic view of the city. The next visits are the churches of San Lázaro and Santo Domingo, these churches are characterized by being built since the founding of the city. Finally, return to the hotel. Day 7 |
Transfer to Potosi city and to Uyuni or Colchani town |
|
Private transfer from the hotel to Uyuni town. But on the way, visit the historical city of Potosi. A walking tour where you will enjoy one of the main cities in the world for its mineral contribution. Visit to the “Casa de la Moneda”, the most important museum that houses the shows old coin machinery due to the surprising extraction of silver from the silver mines. Later, visit the exteriors of the Cathedral of Potosí; Tower of the Company of Jesus, a baroque style tower part of an old convent; the church of San Lorenzo, recognized for its elaborated indigenous baroque style. Continue with the San Francisco lookout from where you can appreciate the old town of Potosí and the “Cerro Rico” of Potosí that remains as a symbol that Potosí was once the most important city in the world. Lately, continue the journey to Uyuni or Colchani town for the accommodation at the hotel. Day 8 |
Uyuni Salt Flats & Stargazing Tour |
|
After breakfast, departure to the Salt Flats but, before visit the Train Cemetery and the Colchani village where is possible to observe the manual salt process and the salt local handicrafts. Later, inside the Salt Flats, the guide will show you the salt eyes, interesting to be the exit points of the salt water; salt hexagons, geometric shapes on the salt flats surface, piles of salt and we will cross the salt flats to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Then, visit the famous flags, Dakar monument and continue to Incahuasi Island which is located in the middle of the salt flats and the island is populated with giant cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of this salt desert. At the afternoon, time for pictures in perspective and to appreciate one of the most amazing sunsets in the world. Finally transfer to Colchani and accommodation at the salt hotel where you will enjoy the dinner and later take the car again to continue the experience appreciating the night sky from one of the best spots to watch the stars in the entire world, the Salt Flats offers an amazing view of the Milky Way, being one of the few desert areas in South America allows a night sky free of light pollution. Day 9 |
Uyuni Salt Flats & Tunupa Volcano |
|
Breakfast at the hotel and later begins a new visit the north side of Uyuni Salt Flat. Visit the Tunupa Volcano where there are archeological sites and mummies can be seen, also visit the lookout where you can observe the huge of the salt flats. Later, get into Chiquini Cave plenty of stalactites and stalagmites. Return to salt flats to enjoy a picnic lunch and in the afternoon is time for pictures in using the perspective of the salt flats. Our guides are amazing photographers! Return to the hotel to enjoy a romantic dinner, candles, wine, good food and your partner are enough to have an unforgettable time.
