Day 1 |
Arrival and Transfer to Hotel |

Day 2 |
La Paz City Tour (Half Day) |
|
At 9:00 or at 14:00 we will pick you up from your hotel to start the city tour. Visit the main square Murillo, in its surroundings there are: the Presidential Palace, the Congress and the Cathedral, after continue to visit Jaen Street, the best well preserved colonial street where local museum are visited. Later, visit the witches’ market, where still remains the ancient beliefs and traditions of Bolivians, you will find traditional remedies and witchcrafts to offer to “Pachamama” (Mother Earth). Next stop is the Cable Car, have ride and enjoy the amazing views of the city. To finish the tour, visit the spectacular Moon Valley features unusual clay and rock formations. Day 4 |
Lake Titicaca, Copacabana and Sun Island (Full Day) |
|
Pickup from the hotel to drive through a paved road to Copacabana peninsula, located 151 km from the city of La Paz, the trip is approximately 3 and a half hours, the road will border Lake Titicaca with an impressive view of the Andes Mountain Range. Arrival and visit the church where the brown Madonna is exhibited, continues the local market of Copacabana and after lunch tour to Sun Island, crossing the lake for approximately an hour to get to Yumani village, where you visit the archaeological site of “Pilkokaina” an Inca Temple, then a short walk up the Yumani stairs until reaching three springs, it is believed that this fountain is the fountain of eternal youth. After the visit return to the town of Copacabana and return to La Paz city. Day 5 |
Biking on the Death Road (Full Day) |
|
Departure at 7:30 am from meeting point in downtown to the most exciting biking experience ever. By car, transfer to “La Cumbre” around 4.700 m.a.s.l. from here we begin the descent by a professional bike a twisting road among mountain peaks and tiny villages. Stop for refreshments and a rest along the way, all the better to give us time to take in the scenery: towering cliff faces and ever greener vegetation. After a snack we ride on, descending in altitude even further, and after a brief undulating section of road we enter the jungle itself and the most challenging part of the ride. This infamous narrow dirt road known as Death Road, is cut precariously into the side of the mountain and descends 2,000m in altitude. With 1,000m+ of vertigo inducing sheer drops off to our left and hulking rock overhangs and cascading waterfalls to our right, we ride on, through mist, low cloud and dust. There is no downhill ride like this in the world! As we near the end of the ride it gets progressively hotter and dustier. By the time you arrive at the bottom of Death Road in Yolosa village at an altitude of 1,200m, you will be hot, dirty and exhilarated; having conquered the extreme Death Road with no fear. Just below the village of Yolosa we head to a restaurant to enjoy a buffet lunch. Later, return to the city of La Paz by car along the new road. (For about 3 hours). Included: Shared transportation, professional guide, snack, water, lunch, bicycle (full suspension with disc brake), helmet, gloves, jacket, souvenirs and hotel in La Paz Not included: Road Usage Tax (50 Bolivianos / USD 8) which has to be paid by the passenger in cash, in local currency (bolivianos) and the transfer to and from meeting point. |

Day 6 |
Tiwanaku Site (Full Day) |
|
Visit one of the ancient archeological sites of south América, considered to be the Cradle of all American Civilizations, Tiwanaku. First, visit the local museum and later the complex beginning with the Sun Gate a megalithic gateway carved from a single block of stone. Also visit the Kalasasaya temple, Semisubterranean Temple that shows tens of carved head standing on the walls, the impressive Akapana Pyramid, and the mysterious Puma Punku Temple. Later, return to La Paz city and collect luggage from hotel to be transferred to bus station and take the night bus to Uyuni. Included: Private transport, lunch, professional guide (English – Spanish), admission fees and bus ticket La Paz – Uyuni. |

Day 7 |
Uyuni Salt Flats Tour (Full Day) |
|
Early, pick up from the bus station and transfer to our office. Free time until the tour begins and meanwhile you can have breakfast. Later, departure to the Salt Flats but, before visit the Train Cemetery and the Colchani village where is possible to observe the manual salt process and the salt local handicrafts. Later, inside the Salt Flats, the guide will show you the salt eyes, interesting to be the exit points of the salt water; salt hexagons, geometric shapes on the salt flats surface, piles of salt and we will cross the salt flats to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. Then, visit the famous flags, Dakar monument and continue to Incahuasi Island which is located in the middle of the salt flats and the island is populated with giant cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of this salt desert. At the afternoon, time for pictures in perspective and to appreciate one of the most amazing sunsets in the world. Finally return to Uyuni or Colchani and accommodation at the hotel. Included: 4×4 Shared Transportation, picnic lunch, professional guide (English – Spanish), admission fees and hotel in Uyuni or Colchani. Note: From Dec to Apr is wet season and Incahuasi Island cannot be visited. |
