Tarabuco Sunday Market (Full Day)

At 09:00 we will pick you up from your hotel to start the excursion. Transfer to the small village of Tarabuco and visit a very authentic market where locals meet for shopping local products and species, but the most interesting are the handmade textiles that hold centuries of symbolism. It was thought that indigenous people did not have writing, but their textiles are considered a way of writing communication. Also, the commerce such as the barter is still used in the village, walking through the streets of Tarabuco you will convince yourself about it and around its square you find many artisans weaving the colorful and striking textiles called “aguayos” with geometric and zoomorphic designs. Sometimes the locals dance the “Pujllay”, their most representative dance and you might have the opportunity to see and hear pure culture. Later, enjoy lunch and explore this authentic place a bit more. Finally return to your hotel in Sucre.
