Day 2 |
La Paz City Tour (Half Day) |

At 9:00 or at 14:00 we will pick you up from your hotel to start the city tour. Visit the main square Murillo, in its surroundings there are: the Presidential Palace, the Congress and the Cathedral, after continue to visit Jaen Street, the best well preserved colonial street where local museum are visited. Later, visit the witches’ market, where still remains the ancient beliefs and traditions of Bolivians, you will find traditional remedies and witchcrafts to offer to “Pachamama” (Mother Earth). Next stop is the Cable Car, have ride and enjoy the amazing views of the city. To finish the tour, visit the spectacular Moon Valley features unusual clay and rock formations. Day 3 |
Tiwanaku Site (Full Day) |
|
Visit one of the ancient archeological sites of south América, considered to be the Cradle of all American Civilizations, Tiwanaku. First, visit the local museum and later the complex beginning with the Sun Gate a megalithic gateway carved from a single block of stone. Also visit the Kalasasaya temple, Semisubterranean Temple that shows tens of carved head standing on the walls, the impressive Akapana Pyramid, and the mysterious Puma Punku Temple. Day 4 |
Lake Titicaca, Copacabana and Sun Island (2 Days / 1 Night) |
|
Pickup from the hotel to drive through a paved road to Copacabana peninsula, located 151 km from the city of La Paz, the trip is approximately 3 and a half hours, the road will border Lake Titicaca with an impressive view of the Cordillera Real, arrival and accommodation at the hotel. After lunch tour to Sun Island, crossing the lake for approximately an hour to get to Yumani village, where you visit the archaeological site of “Pilkokaina” an Inca Temple, then a short walk up the Yumani stairs until reaching three springs, it is believed that this fountain is the fountain of eternal youth. After the visit return to the town of Copacabana and enjoy and unforgettable sunset. Day 5 |
Lake Titicaca, Copacabana and Sun Island (2 Days / 1 Night) |
|
After breakfast, guided visit to the village of Copacabana. Visit the church where the brown Madonna is exhibited, continues the local market of Copacabana and then optionally you might ascend to the Calvary, a holy place where we will appreciate the syncretism of native culture because it is a catholic and indigenous place at the same time. At midday enjoy a lunch and later return to La Paz city. Included: Breakfast at the hotel, guided visit to Copacabana, professional guide, lunch, private transport and Hotel in La Paz. |
